About Cooley Homes LLC.
Cooley Homes LLC. was founded the small, rural town of Heidelberg, MS in 2005, just a few days after Hurricane Katrina came tunneling through the Gulf Coast. Launched by Derrick O. Cooley, the business initially focused on building economic homes. Each house measured no more than approximately 1,200 square feet. Today we still build homes that are economical, we also build custom to suite homes, and feature special touches that homeowners value, such as cathedral and tray ceilings, gas fireplaces, and deep soaking bathtubs.
Our Experience and History
To date, we’ve built and took part in building hundreds of homes in Mississippi. Being a third generation construction worker/carpenter/masonry worker with C. Kelly Concrete and Masonry, in the 90’s and well into the 2000’s we assisted J.W. Ridgeway and a host of other residential builders construct new homes until I decided to branch out and start a business of my own. The secret to our success is our ability to follow trends and provide value to our customers. Each house is custom-built on the owner’s lot or land. Sometimes we also have lots and small acres of land in different areas to build on.

We strive to create the best experience possible throughout the building process, listening closely to our customers’ wishes and incorporating them into each home. Our expert staff helps ensure a smooth and efficient process for everyone involved, explaining the steps in detail as we move forward.
Our homes are a step above but still economically priced. New homes can be completed in less than four months. We offer a number of models, and you can even also bring your own custom blueprint. Request 9 feet ceilings if you like a higher ceiling.
We are happy to make floor plan upgrades and alterations to meet customers’ needs. Already have your plan in mind? No problem—just bring it to us, and we’ll price it for you.
